Black & Ivory Pop-Up Slider Christmas Card
For the card: Turn the card with the fold at the bottom. Cut 6½"x4¾" White Truffle black/ivory damask paper and glue centered on the front. Cut 6½"x4¾" tan/ivory damask paper, open the card, and glue to the inside back. Close the card and align the fold with the bottom of the card base pattern on the template. Trace all cut and fold lines, along with the thumb pull onto the card front.
Remove the template and cut out the thumb pull at the top on both card layers. Open the card and cut all lines and score all fold lines on the front only. Trace and cut the card slider base from white cardstock, then cut 5¼"x3½" White Truffle tan houndstooth paper and glue centered on the base. Stamp “May your Christmas be…” centered near the upper edge.
Use tape to secure the front lower edge of the card slider base to the back of the lower ½" card base flap as directed on the template. Use tape to secure the side edges of the card base together, capturing the slider between the front and back. Fold the black ribbon and staple the fold to the slider at the center top.
Trace and cut the pop-up base from white cardstock and the pop-up paper pattern from White Truffle black/white dotted paper. Glue the paper centered on the cardstock, then mat it again on black cardstock with 1/8" borders. Wrap ribbon around the pop-up ¾" from the left end and glue the ends to the back near the bottom.
Glue the lower half of the pop-up base to the card base, placing glue just on the section as indicated by stripes on the template. Punch out the 3¼"x2¾" tan label die-cut and remove the nibs. Stamp “Merry Christmas” on the label, then glue it to the pop-up, slipping it under the ribbon. Punch out a 7/8" rose and two leaf die-cuts and remove the nibs. Glue the leaves and foam tape the rose to the bottom of the label.
Make a 4-loop bow with ribbon and tie the center with thread. Glue the bow to the first ribbon, 1" from the pop-up top edge. Glue the button to the bow center. Place three Dazzles™ borders across the lower card front flap, cutting the borders at the flap sides. Place Dazzles™ borders around the outer edges of the black/ivory damask paper on the front. Pull up the pop-up mechanism and stamp “Fat, Jolly and Generous” in the window opening.
