Iris-Folded Holiday Card
For the card front: Turn the card with the fold at the top and cover the front with Bountiful purple swirls paper with the swirls at the lower left. Open the card and place on a cutting mat. Draw a 3¼"x3½" window in the front, ½" from the right edge. Use the ruler and knife to cut the window. Ink the card and window edges black. Stamp the snowflake swirl along the left edge with watermark ink. Cover with embossing powder, shake off the excess, and heat to melt the powder. Open the card and place it front down. Center the iris folding pattern behind the window opening and secure with temporary adhesive.
Cut twelve 4"x1" strips each from Bountiful red paper and green paper. Fold all the strips to ¾" wide and ink the folded edges. Place a red strip to cover #1, aligning the fold with the line and glue the ends to secure. Repeat with a red strip on #2. Place a green strip on #3 and one on #4, again gluing the ends. Continue, alternating the colors and following the numbers until the last paper is placed. Trim any ends that extend beyond the card edges and the center fold. Remove the pattern and any temporary glue. Cut a 1½" square of Bountiful pink paper and emboss a snowflake in the center. Glue centered behind the opening in the window, then place the Dazzles™ on the front as shown.
For the inside: Cut Bountiful pink paper to cover the inside front, ink the edges, and glue. Cut Bountiful purple swirls paper to cover the inside back and ink the edges. Stamp and emboss two snowflake swirls, positioned as shown. Glue the paper to the inside. Copy and size the greeting and sentiment to 3¼" wide. Print on white paper and cut out. Mat the greeting on Bountiful green and the sentiment on Bountiful red paper, each with 3/16" borders. Ink the edges and glue as shown, then place Dazzles™ on the snowflakes as shown.
