Remove the acetate liner from the Creative Palette plate and place on your craft sheet. Pour a few drops of Bundled Sage Distress Paint over the plate. Spread the paint across an 8”x8” area of the plate with the rubber brayer, making a thin, even layer of paint. Pour drops of Picket Fence Distress Paint in opposite corners of the painted area, and brayer those areas. Run the chevron brayer through the white painted areas, removing the paint in a chevron design (wipe off the brayer on a paper towel after each paint lifting).
Place 8”x8” white cardstock directly onto the plate and smooth it with your fingers. Lift the cardstock and place face up to dry.
Place the Mini Gears stencil over the center of the painted area on the plate. Add a few drops of Chipped Sapphire and brayer across the stencil and the painted area. Lightly spray Dylusions on opposite corners of the stencil, and then remove the stencil from the plate. Place your painted cardstock onto the plate and lift the second layer of color. Let the cardstock dry. Save for Step 6.
Place a large Dazzles™ bee onto the painted plate, pounce Brushed Pewter over the bee, and then lightly spray with Dylusions. Place 3”x3” white cardstock over the Dazzles&trade,; smooth the cardstock, and lift off. Let dry. Repeat the process to create another bee print. Save for Step 7. Remove the bee Dazzles™ from the plate and save for the card inside.
Card front: Sand and distress the edges of 6 3/8”x4 7/8” Homeward Bound rose compass paper and mat on Iris Suede paper with a 1/16" border. Wrap the upper left and lower right corners with lengths of twine and ¼” white sheer ribbon, gluing the ends on the back. Place a blank card with the fold on top and cover with the matted piece.
Cut a 5½”x4 3/8” piece from the painted cardstock and cut it in half vertically. Paint the edges with Brushed Pewter and let dry. Mat the two pieces on one piece of suede with 1/16" borders, and a 1/16” gap between the two pieces. Glue the matted piece centered on your card.
Cut a bee print to 2¼”x1 5/8&rdquo,; paint the edges, and let dry. Mat on suede with a 1/16" border, then on Homeward Bound rose compass paper with a 1/8" border. Distress the edges. Repeat for another bee print and foam tape each print even with the card sides, as shown.
Paint the following Dazzles™ with Brushed Pewter, then let dry: “Beelieve in Miracles&rdquo,; two small bees, one circle border strip. Place the “Beelieve” and border Dazzles™ as shown, trimming the border even with the right side of the cardstock. Place the two small bees on painted cardstock scraps, cut around the Dazzles™ edge, and foam tape in place as shown. Tie two lengths of twine and sheer ribbon in a bow around the ribbon on the right side of your card.
Card inside: Place “In Miracles” and the remaining painted border Dazzles™ on 4½”x1 1/8” painted cardstock, mat three sides on Iris Suede paper with a 1/16" border and glue on the left side, one inch from the bottom edge of your card. Place the saved large bee Dazzles™ as shown.
