Classic Car Card
Marbled background: Squirt drops and lines of each shimmer paint color (I used mostly Peacock) onto an 8”x8” area of your craft sheet, spritz with water and pounce through the paint with a cosmetic wedge to blend a bit (not too much). Place 8”x8” white cardstock onto the paint, press across the back of the cardstock, then lift to see the marbled appearance. Let dry, or repeat to see if you get a look you like even better. Cut to 4 7/8”x4 7/8” and save for the inside. Save a 4 ½”x1 ½” strip for the front.
Front: Stamp the large classic car on the lower left area of 5”x5 ½” acetate. Score a horizontal line ½” from the top edge, fold back the ½” strip and use Ultra tape to secure the strip to the top, back edge of 5”x5” black cardstock.
Stamp the edge of the map border image along the top and bottom of the 1 ½” wide saved marbled strip, and stamp “Thanks for being…” on the center. Tear off the left edge, as shown, and tie black and white twine as shown. Glue ½” from the fold, even with the right side of the acetate card panel.
Stamp several large classic car images and several compass images on extra acetate. Cut out a compass and glue off the right side of the marbled strip, trimming even with the edge. Cut out several compass details and use clear foam squares to stack onto the compass, paper tole style. Repeat the technique with parts of the car.
