Love Cutaway Card
Card front: Cut the card to a 5” square. Place the fold on the left, and cover with lavender cardstock
TECHNIQUE: Making the background: Tap the Lucky Clover and Twisted Citron inks on a craft sheet. Spritz with water, until the ink beads up. Tap a 5” square of white cardstock in the ink, over and over, until the whole piece is covered with ink. Let dry. You can add more ink, and tap again if desired. Trim to a 4¾” square, and glue to the card front. Place a Dazzles™ border on the top and bottom of the green paper.
Ink the HAPPY stamp with Lucky Clover ink. Wipe the ink off all areas except the letters, with a damp paper towel, or baby wipe. Use the Le Plume markers to color the flowers. (it is OK of the ink dries) once you have all the leaves and flowers colored, spritz lightly with water. Stamp onto a 3 5/8”x1 ½” white cardstock. Use a small damp brush to go over the flower areas for a watercolor look Mat on lavender cardstock with 1/8” borders. Foam tape ½” from the top, centered.
Back a flower Dazzles™ with Illuminate purple/green paper. Cut close to the Dazzles™ edge. Glue on the bottom left corner. Add extra leaf stems.
Color on the birthday stamp with a Le Plume marker, breath on the stamp to moisten, and stamp as shown.
Stamp a small butterfly on white cardstock. Brush with a small damp brush. Cut out the butterfly. Place a small gold Dazzles™ butterfly as shown, and foam tape the stamped butterfly over the gold one.
Card inside: Glue 4½”x4” lavender cardstock centered. Make another background with Lucky Clover and Twisted Citron inks. Trim cardstock to 4”x3½”. Glue centered on the lavender cardstock. Place a border Dazzles™ on the top and bottom of the green cardstock.
Back a butterfly Dazzles™ with Illuminate purple/green paper. Cut close to the Dazzles™ edge. Foam tape on the left.
