Sliding Pop-Up Box Thank You Card
For the card: Die cut all the card base pieces from brown cardstock and the slider pocket from dark blue cardstock. Fold the two long scores on the slider pocket in mountain folds. Place Extra Sticky tape on the long narrow tab and attach it to the inside of the pocket, along the opposite edge. Cut two 3 5/8"x1¾" Seascapes & Sand papers and glue one centered on each side of the slider pocket.
On both box base pieces, fold the vertical scores in valley folds. Crease just the long horizontal scores on the smaller base piece in mountain folds. Place Extra Sticky tape on the larger base’s narrow tab, then attach it to the smaller base piece along the end edge that doesn’t have a tab.
Flatten out the box pieces and place with the inside facing up. Cut two 2 5/8"x2 5/8" blue Seascapes & Sand cardstocks and glue to the panels with the unfolded flaps. Cut two 2 5/8"x 7/8" Seascapes & Sand sandy cardstocks and glue to the two smaller flaps. Leave the remaining panels uncovered.
Turn the box over. Cut two 2 5/8"x2 5/8" Seacapes & Sand cardstocks and glue to the two larger panels. Cut two 2 5/8"x1¾" Seascapes & Sand shells cardstocks and glue to the lower front panels. Cut two 2 5/8"x 7/8" Seascapes & Sand sandy cardstocks and glue to the flaps.
Fold the tabs on the slider pocket back and place Extra Sticky tape on both. Attach the slider pocket tabs to the inside of the box at the center score. Fold the box base over the pocket while inserting the slider into the slider pocket. Attach the remaining box base tab to the slider at the fold. Test the mechanism by pinching the box sides toward each other, causing the slider to slide all the way inside the pocket. To flatten the card, press the opposite box corners toward each other, causing the slider to slide part way out of the pocket.
Decorating the card: Punch out the four Seascapes & Sand die-cuts shown. Cut out the six cutouts shown, including the blue banner and the narrow blue border cutouts. Tie two navy jute strands to the jellyfish tag, then glue it to the left back panel extending 2¼" above the edge.
Thread a 5" length of navy crepe ribbon onto the largest tag, then wrap natural jute around the ribbons just above the tag top and tie into a bow. Foam tape the jar and “blessed” cutouts to the tag as shown, then glue it to the right back flap, extending 2½" above the flap edge.
