For the card front: Turn the card with the fold at the top and trim it to 4 ½”x6 ¼”. Cut a piece of brown cardstock to cover the front but don’t glue it yet. Cut a piece of the pink dogwood corner design paper to 4 ¼”x6&rdquo,; positioning the flowers as shown. Ink the edges brown and glue it centered onto the brown piece. Tack the card front onto the blank card temporarily.
Position the 2 ¼” round glittered frame on the card front and draw along the inside edge, then remove the frame. Open the card and place it on the cutting surface. Use the knife to cut a window through all the layers of the card front. Carefully remove the constructed front from the blank card.
Cut a piece of the acrylic sheet to fit behind the frame. Stamp “Just for you” in black onto the center of the acrylic piece. Cut a 2” and a 4 ½” length of ¾” wide pink/brown dotted sheer ribbon. Glue one end of the short piece to the back of the frame on the right side. Wrap it over the front and to the right. Repeat with the other ribbon length on the opposite side of the frame.
Glue the stamped acrylic piece behind the frame. Glue the frame in place over the cut window. Wrap and secure the ribbon ends to the back of the card on each side edge. Glue the constructed front to the blank card front permanently.
Cut the double swirl glittered chipboard piece to 1 ½” long. Tuck the cut end under the ribbon just left of the frame and let it curl over the top of the ribbon. Glue it in place. Make a shoestring bow with ribbon and glue it just left of the frame as shown.
For the inside: Cut a 2 ¼”x6 ¼” piece of brown/pink dot paper and ink the edges brown. Mat it on pink texture (leftover from the corner design) and ink the edges brown. Glue this piece across the inside back, positioned behind the window.
Cut a ¾”x6 ¼” piece of pink texture and ink the edges brown. Stamp “Happy Birthday” in black on the left end (just the end of the swirl will show through the window when the card is closed). Stamp the left end of the swirls on the right end of the strip. Glue this piece to the dotted piece, aligning it with the ribbon placement when the card is closed.
