Page Background: Start with Chalkboard black with white border patterned paper as your background. Glue 11 1/8”x8” Chalkboard pink patterned paper centered and 1¼” from the top. Cut 12”x1 ¼” Chalkboard teal patterned paper, and glue 1 3/8” from the bottom. Glue ¼” Chalkboard teal patterned paper, and glue 3 1/8” from the bottom.
TECHNIQUE: Cut 12”x1 1/2” Chalkboard ivory patterned paper. Stamp Birthday Greetings “The more candles the bigger the wish!” on the right side of your strip. Using the candle cutting die, die cut evenly spaced candles along your ivory patterned paper strip. Foam tape 1¾" from the bottom so through the negative shapes it looks like your candles are teal, and the candlelight is pink.
Die cut cake from 3¾"x5¼” Chalkboard black chalkboard paper. Remove from die and keep negative shapes from cake stand. Cut a 3½ square Chalkboard ivory patterned paper, and place behind cake cut out. Stamp Birthday Greetings “Eat Cake&rdquo,; “Celebrate&rdquo,; and “Make a Wish” as shown. Glue to back of cut out cake (making sure the bottom of the paper lines up with the bottom of the cake). Glue 7/8” from left, and 1 7/8” from the top. Glue negative shapes into cake stand, and cake plate as shown. Die cut flower from Chalkboard black paper, and glue onto Chalkboard ivory, and teal paper. Foam tape to top right of largest photo.
Photos: Mat 3”x 3 5/8” photo onto Chalkboard black paper leaving 1/8” border. Glue 4½” from the left, and 2” from the top. Cut two 1½”x2½” photos, and two 1½”x2½” Chalkboard patterned papers. Mat one photo and one paper onto 3¼”x2½” Chalkboard black paper as shown. Glue first set 7/8” from the right, and 2” from the top. Glue second set 7/8” from the right, and 4½” from the top.
Embellishments: Tie a bow with Chalkboard ivory/black polka dot ribbon, and Zot™ to top of the cake. Zot 6 5/8” of ribbon under photos as shown. Place Black Jewel Border Dazzles™ on the bottom of the 12” Chalkboard teal paper, the top of the 12” teal paper, as well as the top of the Chalkboard pink patterned paper. Place Button Dazzles™ onto Chalkboard pink, and teal patterned papers. Cut out and thread the buttons with Chalkboard natural twine. Glue to layout as shown.
