You Make Me Smile Transparent Card

For the front: Place your card with the fold on the left. Draw lines along the sides: 1/2" from the top and bottom and 1/4" from the left and right. Open the card flat on your cutting mat. Cut out along the pencil lines to create a large window. Cut narrow strips of blue mirror material and apply them to the frame, leaving 1/16" of white around the frame. Take out a sheet of heat resistant acetate and tape the stencil to the acetate, leaving 1" of space between the edge of the stencil and the edge of the acetate. Scoop out some embossing paste with the mini squeegee and spread it over the stencil. Once all areas have been filled, make long scraping motions with the squeegee to remove excess paste and store it back in the jar. Carefully remove the stencil tape and stencil from the acetate and set aside to dry for 2-3 hours, until it is completely clear. Once dry, color in the red roses with Spectrum Noir pens CR11, CR8, and CR10. Color in the swirls as shown with TB5 and TB6. Color in the leaves with CG2 and DG3.

Cut the stenciled acetate to 5 1/2"x6 1/2" with the roses in the lower left area. Use the back of your craft knife and a ruler to score the acetate 1/2" from the left. Make a second score line just a hair to the left of the first. Fold along the score lines to make your spine. Turn the closed card to the back. Place 6 1/2" of Zips on the back of the card along the fold. Place the acetate cover onto the card so that the back panel adheres to the Zips and press down. Place greetings and butterflies gold Dazzles™ as shown.

For the inside: Place 1/2" thick blue mirror strips along the top and bottom. You could also write a letter on the inside to show through the transparent front cover of the card.
