The Grandkids Page
Note: All matting mentioned in this project is to be done with a 1/16" wide border.
Background: Start with the brown dot paper for the background. Glue 12" x 6" blue pattern paper across the center. Glue blue gingham ribbon across the top 3/4" from the top and across the bottom, 1/2" from the bottom.
Photos: Use the large label die to cut 5 photos. Mat the photos on brown cardstock. Cut three 2" x 2 7/8" rectangles from pink circles pattern and mat on brown cardstock. Cut two 2" x 2 7/8" rectangles from green dot and mat on brown cardstock. Glue the photos centered on the rectangles. Glue the first pink photo 1" from the left and 2 1/2" from the top. Glue the second photo 2" to the left of the first and the third photo 2" to the left of the second. Glue the first green photo 3" from the left and 2 1/2" from the bottom, and the second green photo 3" from the right and 2 1/2" from the bottom.
Journaling: Print "The Grandkids" on 3 1/2" x 1" of green dot paper and mat on brown. Mat a 4 1/8" x 1 1/2" piece of pink paper on brown. Glue the title piece centered on the pink piece and glue to the page 3/8" from the top and 1 3/4" from the left. Tags: Stamp 5 various small tags with Pink Pastel, Mint, and Timber Brown. Print captions on them. Cut out using the matching dies (you can use clear tape to align the die to the stamped image). Mat on brown cardstock. Foam tape each tag near its corresponding photo, as shown. Name Labels: Stamp 3 Mint labels and 2 Pink Pastel labels. Print names on them. Cut out with matching dies. Mat on brown cardstock. Glue each name below its corresponding photo, as shown.
Embellishments: Glue a blue gingham bow to the right of "The Grandkids" title. Place pieces of Teal Jewel Border Dazzles along the top and bottom of the blue patterned piece as shown, trimming where necessary. Glue pink/white twine bows to all the pink photo caption tags, and glue orange/white twine bows to all the green photo caption tags, as shown.
