Sweet Sixteen Page
Background: Use the blue watercolor sheet for the background. Trace and cut out the largest shape on the Easy Scalloped Frames Template from dark purple watercolor paper. Cut off 2" from the left side and glue to the page 1/2" from the top and right.
Photos: Start with two 3 1/2"x5 1/4" photos. Cut 3 1/2"x1" of clear glitter sheet. Cut along the top edge of the strip in a random wavy line. Peel off the backing and apply to the bottom edge of the first photo. Cut a 1"x5 1/4" piece of glitter sheet and cut along one long edge in a random wavy line. Peel off backing and apply to the right edge of the second photo. Mat both photos on black cardstock with a 1/16" border. Glue the second photo 2 1/2" from the right and 2 1/4" from the bottom. Glue the first photo 1 3/4" from the top and 3" from the left.
Journaling & Embellishments: Start with the two diagonal butterflies sheets. Color in the butterflies and flowers with the following Spectrum Noir™ pens: PL4, PL2, BT5, BT4, BT2, BP6, BP2, PL1, PP5 & PP3. Cut around the image. Cut off the two small outer butterflies but save them. Cut 2 pieces of glitter sheet 3"x2 1/4" Place them over the two large butterflies (don't press down yet). Take your craft knife and very gently cut around just the wings of each butterfly, trying to cut through only the glitter sheet without cutting into the cardstock. Very carefully and slowly peel off the glitter sheet material that is outside the butterfly wings. Do the same for the two medium butterflies to create the glittered wing look. Do the same for two of the smaller butterflies that got cut off. Arrange the two diagonal butterfly images straight up and down connecting in the center to create a long 12" arrangement. Glue to the page along the left side, 1/2" from the left as shown. Cut out the circle and label frames from the Colorist pack. Color in with Spectrum Noir pens and print captions in the centers. Foam tape the circle overlapping the bottom left of the right photo. Foam tape the label overlapping the top right of the left photo as shown. Foam tape 3 small butterflies to the page as shown. Tie a small bow with wide purple crepe ribbon and Zot™ to the bottom right of the right photo.
