Step #1 TECHNIQUE: TRI-PANELED BACKGROUND Both pages: Choose two “Illuminate” 12”x12” red flower corner papers (the ones with a red flower in only one corner, green foliage in the opposite corner and vivid red on the back) and place each with the red flower in the bottom right corner. Cut ½” from the bottom edge of both papers, then cut 5 ¾” from the left side of each paper (keeping the red flower in the bottom right corner). Left page: Glue one 5 ¾” wide panel ¼” from the left side of 12”x12” black cardstock (with the green foliage in the upper left corner), ¼” from the top and bottom edges. Turn the 6 ¼” wide panel over to the red side and place the red floral border on the left, ¼” away from the left panel. Cut the right side even with the black cardstock. Right page: Glue the remaining 5 ¾” wide panel ¼” from the right side of 12”x12” black cardstock (with the green foliage in the lower right corner), ¼” from the top and bottom edges. Turn the remaining 6 ¼” wide panel over to the red side and place the red floral border on the right, ¼” from the right panel. Cut the left edge even with the black cardstock.
Step #2 PHOTOS: Left page: Use a wedge to ink the edges of 4”x5 ½” green mottled paper and glue 1” from the left and 1 ¾” from the top. Mat a 5”x3 ½” photo on black cardstock with a 1/16” border, then on green mottled paper with a ¼” border, ink the edges and glue overlapping the green paper by 1&rdquo,; as shown. Mat a 3”x3” photo on black cardstock with a 1/16” border, then on green mottled paper with a 1/8” border, ink the edges and foam tape over the lower left corner of the center photo. Mat a 3 ½”x5” photo on black cardstock with a 1/16” border and foam tape centered over the upper green paper, as shown. Right page: Mat a 6”x4” photo on black cardstock with a ¼” border, then on green mottled paper with a 1/8” border, ink the edges and glue 1” from the left side, 2 ½” from the bottom of your page.
Step #2 JOURNALING: Both pages: Use a fine-tipped black pen to add journaling, name and date above and below the photos, as shown.
TECHNIQUE: GLITTER COLUMNS Both pages: Cut 3/8” wide strips of the Crimson Glitter paper, along the edges of the glitter stripes. Cut into various lengths and cut one end of each at an angle. Glue even with the top and bottom edges of the background paper in the areas shown.
