Stars Birthday Card
For the card front: Turn the card with the fold at the top. Cut Nature’s green ferns paper to cover the front and ink the edges brown. Place on scrap paper and stamp the star frame 4-5 times, sometimes extending off the edges. Load the stamp with ink and stamp on scrap paper lightly, then stamp onto the paper, producing a light image. Repeat, overlapping the darker stars. Glue to the card.
Cut a 4¾"x2¼" Nature’s stripes and mat all but the right side on brown cardstock with 1/16" borders. Glue a 5½" ribbon across the piece, gluing the ends on the back. Glue to the front, ¼" from the lower edge. Cut a 3"x2 7/8" Nature’s tan ferns paper and ink the edges. Mat on cardstock with 1/16" borders. Stamp the star frame in the center, then glue over the stripes, ½" from the right edge.
Stamp the star frame on blue Nature’s watercolor paper and cut out. Stamp “just for you” and a small star on it. Wrap and tie ribbon around the star, then foam tape it over the tan star. Color in the small star with lettuce ink and the tiny outer stars with melon ink. Glue a star bingo motif over the ribbon knot. Dot two rows of melon and a row of lettuce ink across the stripes as shown.
For the inside: Cut a 5 3/8"x4" Nature’s nest paper with the border on the right edge. Ink the edges, then glue centered on the inside. Cut a 6½"x1 3/8" Nature’s stripes, ink the edges, and glue across the inside. Cut a 3"x3" yellow Nature’s watercolor paper and stamp the star frame on it. Ink the edges and mat on cardstock with 1/16" borders. Wrap and knot ribbon across as shown, then glue centered on the inside. Stamp the star frame on blue Nature’s watercolor paper, cut out, and stamp “happy birthday” and two small stars on it. Glue over the yellow star. Color the small stars lettuce and the tiny stars melon.
