Front: Place your card with the fold on the left. Place the arched window stencil on the card front, 1 1/4" from the top and 5/8” from the left side. Secure to the card with stencil tape, then trace around the outer edges with the pencil. Remove the stencil and open the card out flat onto your cutting mat. Use your knife and ruler to cut out the window from the card front only.
Lightly add a small amount of glue stick to the corners of the card front. Place Emma’s Garden teal tiny flowers paper on the card, trimming the outside edges and window edges even with the card. Carefully pull off the trimmed paper and set it aside for the inside. Now cover the card front with Emma’s Garden brown/pink/teal/ivory flowers paper. Trim evenly with the edges of the window and card. Cut a 6 1/2"x1/4” pink dots paper and mat long sides on ivory dots paper with 1/16” borders. Glue it vertically on the card, 3/8” from the right side. Ink the outer edges of the card brown.
Place the arched window stencil on ivory dots paper and secure it with stencil tape. Trace around the outside, then all the inside spaces with the pencil (remove and replace the tape to get all areas as you go). Remove the stencil and cut out the frame. Erase any pencil marks that show. Repeat for a second frame, reserving it for the inside. Glue a window frame on the edges of the window on the card front.
Place the Birds on a Branch stencil on brown textured paper and tape the edges in place. Trace 2 branches with leaves and birds (I used the top two on the stencil) with the pencil. Remove the stencil. Finish connecting the lines with your pencil, then cut out the entire branch with leaves and bird as 1 piece for each. Now use the stencil again to trace the individual leaves onto Emma’s Garden teal tiles paper and cut them out. Ink the edges of each piece with brown ink and glue in place on the branches, matching up the shapes. Repeat this process for the birds, using teal cardstock and pink dots paper as shown. Ink the edges of each bird with Fudge ink and glue in place. Glue the branches/leaves/birds across the window frame as shown, trimming the ends of the branches as needed. Cut out individual flowers from remaining floral paper and ink the edges. Foam tape the flower cut-outs on the birds as shown.
Place the arch window stencil on the 4” round lace paper doily. Position the stencil so the curved edge of the lace extends 2 1/4" from the top of the arch, and the lowest part of the curved lace is at the center. Trace the shape of the arch on the doily, then cut around the edges. Open the card and place the trimmed doily even with the edges of the back of the window on the inside. Check the front to see that the placement is correct, then glue in place.
Use the Tiny Tags & Little Labels template to trace and cut out a Squared Tag E shape from Emma’s Garden teal tiles paper. Ink the edges. Ink Tiny Words & Phrases Dazzles™ “Make a WISH” with Fudge ink and let dry. Place the words on the tag and glue it angled on the upper right portion of the card. Foam tape a flower cut-out above the words. Use 1/2" pink grosgrain ribbon to tie a bow. Zot™ the bow on the top of the tag.
Inside: Cover the card with pale aqua cardstock. Take the reserved trimmed teal tiny flowers paper and ink the edges. Glue it even with the card. Place the remaining ivory frame face down on the back of the first window frame on the inside of the card front. Carefully close the card and adjust the window as needed so the window frames are aligned. Glue the second frame onto the pale aqua window shape on the inside. Cut a 6 1/2"x1/4” Emma’s Garden pink dots paper and mat on ivory dots paper with 1/16” borders. Glue vertically on the card, 1/4” from the right side.
Use the Birds on a Branch stencil to create 2 more branches/leaves/birds as you did for the front, alternating the bird colors. Align on the inside beneath the ones on the front as you did for the window frame. Glue in place. Add flower cut-outs. Trace and cut a Squared Tag B shape from pink dots paper and ink the edges. Ink Dazzles™ “Happy Birthday” with Fudge ink and let dry. Place the words on the tag and glue as shown. Zot™ knotted ribbon in place.
