Place the card with the fold at the top. Cut ¼” from the bottom front of the card. Cover the card with pink roses paper. Place the heart window on the left side of the card, ½” from the left edge and 1” from the top. Trace along the outside edge of the template. Remove the template, open the card and use the knife to cut around the heart.
Trace the heart shape onto brown cardstock by tracing around the inside edge of the template to make a slightly larger heart than the window. Glue the smaller heart to appear inside the window. If you don’t want the inside front of the card to be brown, line with white cardstock and cut around the heart window.
Cut a ¾” x 6 ½” strip of striped paper and mat with brown cardstock, leaving a 1/16” wide border. Glue to the bottom of the card front. Apply brown ink to the card edges. Use an empty die-cut tag space and trace a small tag onto white cardstock. Write “Thank You” and mat with brown cardstock. Secure with a brown mini brad. And glue to the right side of the card.
Inside the card: Repeat for another striped and matted border and glue to the inside back. Trace a small bird from striped paper and cut small wings from pink floral paper. Line the wings with brown paper ink the edges of the wings and bird using a cotton swab to apply the ink to the tight spaces. Secure a brown mini brad for the eye. Foam tape the bird within the window. Trace a larger tag, using an empty die cut shape as the pattern, from pink floral paper. Write the greeting and mat with brown cardstock and secure a brown brad. Glue to the right of the bird.
