Simply Stripes Open-Front Birthday Card

Instructions:

1. For the card: Cut 5"x12" white cardstock. Fold it in half to create a 5"x6" card with the fold at the top. Measure 1½" from the left edge on the front and mark a line from the fold down to the bottom. Repeat on the right side, then cut on the lines and on the fold between the lines. 

2. For the front: Cut two 1⅜"x5⅞" Simply Stripes white/blue striped cardstock and glue one centered on each front panel. Cut the extra white cardstock piece from step 1 to 5"x1". Cut 4⅞"x⅞" Dotted Duos blue mini dot paper and glue it centered on the cardstock. Place silver thin line Dazzles™ near the upper and lower edge of the blue paper, trimming the excess. Use 2-sided tape to attach the ends of the mini dot piece to the two front panels, aligning the side and bottom edges.

3. Assemble the Shooting Stars “you’re the star” paper tole die-cuts with foam tape between the layers. Glue the ends to the two front side panels, centering the design 1¼" from the card top. Foam tape piece #6 onto piece #3 of the green-numbered shooting star paper tole set, then foam tape it to the front at the lower right. Foam tape the red extra art star and glue piece #4 and #5 on the front as shown.

4. For the inside: Cut 4⅞"x5⅞" Dotted Duos green mini dot paper and glue it centered on the inside. Cut 4⅞"x¾" Simply Stripes white/blue striped cardstock and mat the long edges on white cardstock with ⅛" borders. Glue it to the green paper, ¼" from the bottom. Place silver thin line Dazzles™ near the lower edge of the strip, trimming the excess, and red “happy birthday” Dazzles™ on the right end. 

5. Place red “celebrate” Dazzles™ on the right end of the blank label. Glue the label at the upper left and trim the excess. Assemble piece #1 and #2 of the green-numbered paper tole set, then glue it to the inside, positioned behind the stars on the card front when the card is closed. Foam tape the two extra art stars as shown.
