Homeward Bound Page
Background: Start with the Homeward Bound postcard paper as your background, placing the striped border along the bottom. Cut 12"x2 3/4" Homeward Bound blue compass paper and tear across the bottom edge. Ink the edges with Timber Brown StazOn® ink. Glue across the top. Cut 12"x2 1/4" strip of Homeward Bound red paper and tear across the bottom. Ink the torn edge and glue across the top.
Cut two 1/2"x12" strips of Homeward Bound striped paper and ink the edges. Mat them on 1" wide strips of Kraft cardstock and ink edges. Cut two pieces of Kraft cardstock 1"x3". Cut each of the long pieces in half, then insert the short pieces of cardstock, taping them back together (you should have two 1"x15" strips with a break in the middle of each). On the background, measure across the top from the left corner 2" and mark with a pencil. Measure across the bottom 4 3/4" and make a mark. Connect the two dots with a light pencil line. Measure across the top from the right corner and make a mark at 2 1/2". Measure across the bottom from the right corner and make a mark at 4 1/2". Connect the two dots. Glue your long strips centered over the pencil lines and trim even with the edges.
Photos: Ink the edges of a 4" x 4" photo and mat on Homeward Bound red with a 1/16" border. Mat on brown with a 1/8" border. Ink the edges of a 4" x 6" photo and mat it the same way. Glue the square photo 4" from the top and 1 1/2" from the left as shown. Glue the other photo 4" from the top and 1 1/2" from the right.
Embellishing: Assemble the Papier Tole hot air balloon then mat onto brown cardstock, leaving a 1/16" border. Glue onto the upper right corner of the large photo. Use foam tape to assemble the Papier Tole camera then mat on brown cardstock and glue overlapping the bottom left corner of the small photo.
Mat the Embellies™ “Wish you were here" heart tag and the "Homeward" arrow tag onto brown cardstock. Glue the arrow above the large photo and the heart overlapping the bottom right as shown. Glue the extra artwork as shown. Glue "view point" to the left of the small photo. Cut a 1 1/4" square of the Homeward Bound hot air balloon paper and cut it in half diagonally. Glue one triangle to the bottom right corner of the small photo and the other triangle to the top left of the large photo. Ink all edges and add Embellies™ brads as shown.
