Thank You Card
For the Front: Place the card with the fold at the top. Cut 6½”x5” Homeward Bound red paper. Cut 6½”x1½” strip of Homeward Bound striped paper and ink the edges black. Glue across the red paper, 1½” from the bottom.
Cut a 7½” length brown grosgrain ribbon and glue it across the background 1¾” from the bottom. Fold the ends of the ribbon around to the back of the red paper and glue. Do the same with ¼” wide sheer ivory ribbon, gluing it centered over the brown ribbon. Glue the assembled piece to the card front.
Cut a 4”x2¾” piece of Ultra Smooth White cardstock and round the corners with the Corner Chomper. Ink the edges. Cut a small ½” square scrap of paper (just larger than the heart on the banner girl’s stamp). Place the banner girl stamp on an acrylic block and ink it up with Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Place the small square over the heart on the banner (in order to keep it from stamping). Stamp the girl image in the center of the Ultra Smooth White cardstock. The scrap of paper will mask the heart out of the banner. Stamp “Thank You” from the Janie’s Girls Stamp Set in the center of the banner.
Use the following Spectrum Noir pens to color the image (where possible, use the darker color first, then use the lighter color, going over the darker to blend). Hair: Yellows, OR1 and CT4. Bow/Socks: Reds, DR7 and CR11. Shirt: Blues Set, TB6 and TB5. Skin: Pale Hues Set, FS3 and FS2. Shadow: Warm Grays, BG2, BG4, and BG6. Banner: Warm Grays, BG2 and BG4.
Mat the image on blue paper, leaving a 1/8” border. Ink edges black. Foam tape the image to the card ¾” from the left and 3/8” from the bottom.
Place the scalloped Blue Jewel Border Dazzles™ along the top and bottom of the striped piece, on either side of the girl image. Place “innies” Dazzles™ on the corners of the girl’s banner.
Tie a bow with ¾” wide tan crepe ribbon and Zot™ to the right side of the girl image. Trim the ends in a “V”. Use Spectrum Noir red DR7 to color 3 of the Silver Nailheads and place them to the right of the image, on top of the sheer ribbon as shown. Cut 2 small swirls from red paper using the 6 Labels & 2 Swirls Cutting Dies. Glue them to the top right and bottom left of the image. Ink the edges.
For the inside: Cut a piece of hot air balloon paper to fit the inside of the card. Ink the edges black and glue to the inside of the card 1/16” from fold. Ink the edges of a 6 ½” x 1 ¼” strip of brown texture paper and glue across the bottom. Stamp and color in the Hula Hoop girl with the same as in step 4. Cut closely around the image and glue to the inside of the card ¼” from the bottom and ½” from the right. Trim and place the dotted Blue Jewel Border Dazzles™ along the top of the brown strip, on either side of the image.
