Chantilly Lace Friendship Gatefold Card

For the card front: To make the gatefold card, open the card, then fold both sides in to the center crease. Measure 2¾" down from upper left corner and make a mark. Draw a line from the mark up to the upper right corner of the right front panel. Cut on the line, then cut down to the mark on the left panel’s fold and discard the excess from both panels.

Die cut the lace die from Chantilly Lace pink cardstock. Apply a line of tape runner adhesive across the top of both front panels, about ¼" down from the top. Trim the lace die-cut as needed, then place it across both panels so ¾" extends above the edges. Cut the panel apart where the two front panels meet so the card will open.

Trace and cut the two panel paper patterns from Chantilly Lace rose border cardstock and glue them centered on the appropriate front panels. Place three gold thin line Dazzles™ near the upper and lower edges as shown, trimming the excess.

Punch out the Chantilly Lace “your friendship…” tag and glue it to the left front panel, angled across the card center as shown. Punch out the “hello friend” banner and mat it on burgundy cardstock with 1/16" borders. Foam tape it across the top of the tag.

Make a 4-loop bow with the ivory crepe ribbon and tie the center with thread. Glue the bow to the tag top, then glue a ¾" peach blossom to the bow center. Glue a 1½" pink blossom and two leaves to the front at the lower right, slightly overlapping the tag’s lower right corner.

For the inside: Use the corner rounder punch to round the card’s upper left corner. Cut 4¾"x6 3/8" Chantilly Lace burgundy flourish border paper and trim the upper left corner to fit the rounded corner. Die cut a lace border from pink cardstock and glue it to the paper 1 1/8" from the bottom, trimming the excess. Glue the paper centered on the inside.
