Background: Use 12"x12" white cardstock for your background. Place scrap paper behind the cardstock. Turn the Woven Lattice stencil on point, and place it over the cardstock in the center (you can measure out the exact center and mark it with a pencil if you wish). Secure with stencil tape. Use the cosmetic sponge to apply Yellow Ochre ink through the stencil, jumping around to different areas of the image. Switch to Candied Yam and repeat, then switch to Red Barn to add bits of red to the image (use a separate cosmetic sponge for each color). Once you've covered the stencil with color, carefully lift off the stencil. Shift the stencil to the upper right of the first image, lining the edges up carefully so that the design repeats itself continuously. Repeat the sponging. Shift the stencil again and repeat, until the whole page is covered.
Photo: Print a 10"x7" photo. Place over scrap paper. Turn the stencil on point and place it over the photo so there are three Woven Lattice diamonds going across the top left of the photo. Mask the rest of the stencil with scrap paper taped to the stencil (don't use tape directly on your photo). Open the jars of Black Shimmering stencil paint and Copper embossing paste. Have paper towels handy. Use the mini squeegee to scoop up some black stencil paint and scrape across the stencil, filling over half of the stencil image. Wipe the squeegee clean with a paper towel. Scoop up some copper embossing paste and scrape over the image, filling the rest of the empty areas and mixing a bit with the black. Wipe off squeegee and close the jars. Carefully pull off stencil and clean immediately. Let the photo dry for several hours.
Journaling: Print some journaling in a narrow column down the center of 8 1/2"x11" white vellum. Tear the sides of the vellum on either side of the word column. Center your journaling vertically on the photo, 1/2" from the right side. Fold the top and bottom of the vellum over to the back of the photo and glue in place. Mat the photo on white cardstock with 1/16” borders. Glue the photo centered on the page, 2 1/4" from the top. Tie a bow with wide brown crepe ribbon, leaving a longer tail on the left side. Cut a “V” in the right tail. Zot™ the bow to the lower left of the photo as shown. Wrap the left tail of the bow around to the back and tape in place.
Embellishing: Place orange bling on the woven lattice design on the photo, and at the top and bottom of the journaling as shown.
