Sending Happy Thoughts Triple Easel Card
Fold and unfold along all the scored lines. Large base: Cover the inside of the base with Family Ties chevron paper. When folded, cover the top section (from the top fold to the lower fold line) with chevron paper, trimming to fit. Medium base: Cover the top section and the inside with blue flourish paper. Small base: Cover the top section and the inside with red diamond paper.
Large label: Cut 6"x4 1/4" Family Ties black flourish paper. Lightly trace the large label in the center of the piece. Position the stencil so the rose is overlapping the traced label shape slightly on the upper left. Secure the stencil with stencil tape and mask off any unwanted areas. Sponge VersaMark™ ink through the rose. Lift off the stencil and carefully reposition it in the bottom right, slightly overlapping the pencil line. Sponge the VersaMark™ ink through the stencil and lift off. Place the piece on scrap paper. Apply red Perfect Pearls™ on the roses with the large brush. Apply green to the swirls. Heat set with a heat gun. Glue the piece to sturdy cardstock. Cut out around the label shape and around the roses and swirls. Place the stencil with the swirl going off the bottom of the large label. Sponge Metallic Gold StazOn® ink onto the swirl. Lift off and clean the stencil immediately with StazOn® cleaner. Sponge Metallic Gold StazOn® ink onto the edges of the label. Glue to the large base, lining up the bottom label edges (see assembly instructions on the die-cut card package). Die cut a long label from Family Ties ivory flourish paper using the Layered Labels & Swirls Cutting Dies. Stamp the greeting in the center with Jet Black StazOn®. Stamp and emboss the same greeting in gold, slightly offset from the first impression (the black should look like a shadow). Mat the label on Family Ties blue paper with a 1/16" border. Foam tape to the center of the large label. Glue a small bow of twine to the top right of the greeting as shown.
Medium label: Trace the medium label onto red paper and cut out. Place over scrap paper. Place the stencil over the label so the butterflies are along the right side of the label. Mask off unwanted stencil areas. Sponge on the VersaMark™ ink. Remove the stencil and move it to the left side with 2 butterflies in the lower left of the label. Sponge on VersaMark™ ink. Remove stencil. Apply blue Perfect Pearls™ and heat set with a heat gun. Carefully cut around parts of the butterflies so that they can be lifted up. Cut a curvy label out of black flourish. Stamp "Thinking of You" on ivory flourish with black StazOn™ and cut around. Glue to the curvy label. Lift up the cut parts of the butterfly wings and glue the label in the center of the red paper label. Glue to the die-cut cardstock medium label. Place small pieces of foam tape under the lifted up parts of the wings. Ink the edges with Metallic Gold StazOn™. Glue the finished medium label to the medium base, lining up the bottom label edges.
Small label: Trace the small label onto green paper. Place the stencil over the right side of the green label shape, slightly overlapping the pencil line on the right side. Sponge on the VersaMark™ ink. Apply red Perfect Pearls™ and heat set. Cut a slit along the left side of the rose. Cut 3" x 1 1/4" of ivory flourish. Stamp "I Love You" in the center with VersaMark™. Apply blue Perfect Pearls™ and heat set. Slide the right end of the sentiment strip into the slit of the rose and glue down. Cut out just outside the pencil line. Glue to the cardstock small label and cut out more exactly along the label edge. Erase any pencil lines. Ink the edges with Metallic Gold StazOn® and a cosmetic sponge. Glue the label to the corresponding small base, lining up bottom label edges.
Stopper: Sponge VersaMark™ ink through the swirl in the stencil onto blue paper. Heat emboss with gold embossing powder. Glue the swirl to sturdy cardstock and cut out. Foam tape to the inside of the small base, centered about 3/8" from the bottom edge as shown.
Assemble the three completed card bases, as the package instructions indicate.
