Butterfly Wings Gate Fold Card
Card front: Follow the package instructions to assemble your gate fold card. Rotate the card so that the label opening is at the top, then flip the card over to the back. Trace the card (closed) onto the back of multi-stripe paper. Cut out the rectangular traced shape and cut in half vertically. Glue the left half to the left side of the front of the gatefold card, and the right half to the right side, matching up the stripes across the gate opening. Open the card up flat, and turn it over. Use a craft knife to trim along the curved edge of the label shaped opening on both of the gate fold flaps. Fold the card back up and turn over to the front. Use a cosmetic sponge and Jet Black StazOn® to ink the edges black and ink the edges of the label opening. Stamp black flourishes across the top and bottom edges. Glue (2 pieces) gold glitter ribbon across the two gatefold flaps 2¼” from the bottom, trimming to fit. Tie a small gold bow and Zot™ to the left flap as shown. Use VersaMark™ to stamp and black emboss a butterfly and a key onto On Butterfly Wings pink rosebud paper. Trim out the two shapes, leaving a 1/16" border around each. Foam tape the butterfly to the lower right of the label opening. Foam tape the key just below the bow as shown.
Card inside: Cut 3 5/8"x6" On Butterfly Wings brown pattern paper and ink edges. Glue to the inside panel. Cut a 1 1/4"x6" strip of On Butterfly Wings ivory pattern paper and ink edges. Mat onto On Butterfly Wings black floral paper, leaving a 1/8" border on the edges. Ink edges, and glue along the center of the card vertically. Use the blank white curved label from the opening of the gatefold die-cut card to trace the same shape onto the back of pink dot paper. Cut out and ink edges. Stamp and black emboss the greeting in the center of the label. Mat onto black floral paper and glue centered, about 7/8" from the top of the card, making sure to line it up in the center of the label opening (check alignment by closing card). Trim pieces of wide Brass Jewel Border Dazzles™ and place along the center of the vertical ivory strip, as shown.
