Background: For the left page: Place the green clock paper with the clock in the upper left corner. Use the craft knife to cut around the center of the large clock edge. Ink the long edges of a 12”x 2 ½” strip of golden dot paper and glue 1” from the bottom of the green paper. Tear the bottom edge of the 6” x 9” black script paper and glue the left corner under the cut away clock, 1 ½” from the page top and 2 ¾” from the left. Layer the clock tole border and glue at the bottom of the mat.
Use Dazzles™ as a chalk template: Remove some of the adhesive on the Dazzles™ border by placing on your pant leg to just make the sticker “tacky” rather than sticky. This will make the sticker more prepositional and less likely to rip your paper when removing it. Place the border on the gold paper and apply brown chalk over the surface of the sticker. Remove and place on the other side to continue the pattern. Chalk again.
For the right page: Place the clock at the bottom right corner. Use the knife to cut around the center edge. Glue the 12”x 2 ½” gold dot paper 1” from the top of the page and apply the chalked Dazzles™ border. Tear the left edge of the 7 ½” x 6” black script paper and glue the lower right corner under the cut away clock and 2” from the top and 1 1/2” from the right edge. Glue a length of brown velvet ribbon to the left side of the mat.
Photos: For the left page: Place a length of Dazzles™ border along the bottom edge of the 4”x6” photo. Mat with light ivory paper, leaving a 1/16” wide border. Glue the photo over the black script mat, ¾” from the top and 1” from the sides, overlapping the clock on the top left corner.
For the right page: Repeat as above for applying Dazzles™ border and matting. Glue the photo under the clock cut-away, ¾” from the top of the mat and 1 ¼” from the right edge.
Journaling: For both pages: Write in a long column and print onto light ivory cardstock. Place a length of Dazzles™ border to the bottom and tear the bottom edge. Glue to the right side or left side of the of the photo mats.
Create page titles using the brown tags and alphabet tiles. Alter other tags by wrinkling and then sanding lightly. Alternate gluing and foam taping the tiles for dimension.
