My First Day Page
With orange paper as your background, place a 6 3/8”x12” gold paper 1/2” from the left edge. Cut a 5 5/8”x12” Color Me™ striped paper. Use the following pens to color the stripes: GB6, GB3, OR2, CR9 & BT8. Center on the gold strip. Mat a 12”x1 1/4 gold on brown cardstock with a 1/16” border on the upper and lower edges. Place 1” from the lower edge of the page. Cut out and color the “ruler” border with GB6 (use GB3 on the edges). Foam tape onto the gold strip.
Mat a 4”x6” photo on brown with a 1/16’ border and foam tape over a 4 1/2”x6 1/12” gold. Place 1/2” from the upper edge on the striped paper. Mat 3 2 1/2”x4” photos on brown with 1/16” borders and place as shown.
Computer journal the title on a 3” square yellow paper. Cut out the hexagon frame label, cut the center out carefully and set aside. Color the frame with pen and foam tape over the title, cutting paper to fit behind. Foam tape onto ruler. Journal the story on a 4”x1 1/2” yellow, mat on brown with a 1/16” border and foam tape beneath large photo.
Cut out the small tag and color with pens. Journal a name and age on a 1” square of white, mat on gold with a 1/16” border and foam tape onto tag. Punch a hole at the top of the tag. Tie a knot in a length of ribbon, thread ends through hole and foam tape tag as shown. Color saved hexagon frame cutout with GB6, journal a date and Zot™ a small knot of ribbon onto it. Place as shown.
