Lilacs In Bloom Easel Birthday Card
For the card: Place the card with the told at the top, then trim it to 5"x5". Open the card and fold the front lower edge in to the card’s center fold, creasing firmly. Unfold and close the card.
For the front: Cut 4 5/8"x4 5/8" Lilacs In Bloom tapestry paper and mat it on purple cardstock with 1/16" borders. Cut 4¾"x¾" Lilacs In Bloom dotted paper and mat the long edges on dark purple cardstock with 1/16" borders. Glue it across the tapestry paper, ½" from the bottom. Glue just the lower half of the tapestry paper to the lower card front.
Place a border Dazzles™ above the dotted strip, one below it, and one through the center of the strip, trimming the excess. Add gold jewel Dazzles™ to the center border. Cut out the “it’s your birthday” greeting and mat it on purple cardstock with 1/16" borders. Glue it as shown.
Cut a 4" piece of the wide double-sided tape. Place it sticky side down on dark purple cardstock. Remove the backing, then place purple Fab Foil on the sticky surface, shiny side up. Press and smooth in place. Remove the foil backing. Die cut the large lilac blossom once and the separate lilacs twice from the foiled cardstock.
Cut a 3" piece of the wide double-sided tape and attach it to green cardstock. Cover the tape with green Fab Foil, then die cut a stem and two leaf sprigs from it. Trim the stem to 2" long and glue it to the front, extending up from the lower right corner. Glue the right leaf sprig and large lilac blossom as shown.
Foam tape single lilac blossoms over the large blossom, filling in some of the open areas as shown. Glue the left leaf sprig overlapping the lower blossoms as shown. Place gold jewel Dazzles™ in the blossom centers.
For the inside: Cut 4¾"x4¾" Lilacs In Bloom tapestry border paper with the border along the top and glue it centered on the inside. Place a border Dazzles™ along the top of the paper, trimming the excess.
