Birdhouse Dazzles Friendship Faux Step Card
Instructions:
1. For the card: Cut 6½"x10" white cardstock, place it horizontally and score it 1½", 3", and 6½" from the left end. Accordion-fold the cardstock on the score lines, beginning and ending with a mountain fold.
2. Cut two 6¼"x1⅜" Butterfly Meadow light green papers and glue to the first and second panels of the cardstock. Cut 6¼"x3¼" Butterfly Meadow silhouette paper with the black flowers in the upper left corner and glue it centered on the third cardstock panel.
3. Cut 6¼"x4½" white cardstock and place it horizontally. Score it vertically 4½" from the left end, then crease the score in a mountain fold. Cut 3¼"x4¼" Butterfly Meadow light blue paper and glue it centered on the large panel. Knot a 6" length of teal crepe ribbon, then wrap the ribbon across the large panel, ½" from the lower edge, and glue the ends to the back.
4. Place sticky tape on the back of the second white cardstock, near the short ends. With the first cardstock folded and flattened, attach the lower front edge of the second cardstock to it, ⅝" from the left card edge. Slip the short end of the second cardstock under the first cardstock, and attach it to the back.
5. Place the three brown birdhouse Dazzles™ shown on teal cardstock and cut along the edges. Place the three blue bird Dazzles™ shown on light blue cardstock and cut along the edges. Die cut three of each leaf sprig from green cardstocks. Glue and foam tape the leaf sprigs, birdhouses, and birds to the front panels as shown.
6. Cut out the Butterfly Meadow “hello friend” label and mat it on light blue cardstock with ⅛" borders. Foam tape it to the front as shown.
7. For the inside: Cut 6½"x3¼" Butterfly Meadow border paper with the butterfly near the right end. Glue it centered on the inside. Cut two ⅛" wide strips off the edge of the metallic blue Dazzles™ sheet and place them along the edges of the paper, trimming the excess.
8. Cut 3⅛"x1¾" Butterfly Meadow blue textured paper and mat it on teal cardstock with ⅛" borders. Place black “thinking of you” Dazzles™ on it, then glue the greeting to the inside, just left of the butterfly. Back a small blue bird Dazzles™ with light blue cardstock, then foam tape it as shown.
