Vintage Lace Sympathy Card
For the card front: Place the card with the fold on the left. Cut 5"x6½" Gold paper and glue it to the front. Die cut the 4 1/8"x5 3/8" Rococo frame twice from tan cardstock, then stack and glue them together. Press the watermark ink pad evenly over the frame. Cover the frame with embossing enamel, tap off the excess, then heat it to melt the remainder.
Cut 4 5/8"x6 1/8" purple cardstock and glue the frame to the center, leaving the lower 2" unglued. Die cut the 3 1/8"x4 7/8" Rococo frame from Vintage Lace tan flowered paper with the tan roses in the lower left corner. Glue it inside the embossed frame.
Wrap a 6" length of ¼" wide ivory sheer ribbon across the constructed front, slipping it under the frame, and glue the ends to the back. Glue the remainder of the frame in place, then glue the constructed front centered on the gold card front. Make a 4-loop bow with the same ribbon, tying the center with thread. Glue the bow to the first ribbon as shown.
Place gold “thinking of you” Dazzles™ on the floral frame at the upper right. Glue a butterfly Dazzles™ to the bow center, then place three more butterflies on the floral panel as shown. Place gold scalloped thin line Dazzles™ around the outer edge of the purple cardstock, trimming the excess.
For the inside: Cut 3¾"x5½" Vintage Lace aqua lace/floral paper and mat it on Gold paper with 1/8" borders. Glue it to the inside center. Die cut a 3¼"x5" Baroque frame twice from tan cardstock, then glue the frames together and emboss the front as for the first frame. Glue it centered on the aqua paper.
Cut 4 5/8"x6 1/8" purple cardstock and glue the frame to the center, leaving the lower 2" unglued. Die cut the 3 1/8"x4 7/8" Rococo frame from Vintage Lace tan flowered paper with the tan roses in the lower left corner. Glue it inside the embossed frame.
Wrap a 6" length of ¼" wide ivory sheer ribbon across the constructed front, slipping it under the frame, and glue the ends to the back. Glue the remainder of the frame in place, then glue the constructed front centered on the gold card front. Make a 4-loop bow with the same ribbon, tying the center with thread. Glue the bow to the first ribbon as shown.
