For the card front: Turn the card with the fold at the top. Cut a piece of the plain blue to fit the front, but don’t glue it yet. Cut a 6¼” x 4¾” piece of the pink dots paper and glue it centered on the plain blue piece. Cut a 2½” x 4¾” piece of blue roses paper and glue it along the right end of the pink dots.
Punch a border along one long edge of a 3” x 6” piece of the dark pink/white cardstock. Trim it to 1” wide and glue it over the seam between the pink and blue pieces. Trim the ends even with the plain blue. Glue a 6” length of blue rickrack over the punched border and wrap the ends to the back. Glue the constructed front to the blank card.
Tape the stencil to the cutting mat. Cut a 5” square of the dark pink cardstock and tape it white side down over the stencil. Use the stylus to dry-emboss the lilies into the cardstock. (Because both the stencil and cardstock are taped securely, you can lift the paper to make sure you’re embossing all the design.)
Remove the embossed lilies and sand the white side. Trim it to 3” x 3 ¾” and sand the edges. Mat it on pink, then glue it to the card front, overlapping the border edge as shown. Print “Happy Birthday” in dark gray on pink and trim the two words to ½” tall. Mat each word on blue, then glue them to the front as shown. Knot two 2” pieces of rickrack and glue them as shown.
For the inside: Cut a 6½” x 3½” piece of the pink dots and punch a border in one long edge. Mat that edge with blue, then glue the piece to the inside back. Print the sentiment in dark gray on pink and mat it on blue. Glue it to the dotted piece, ½” from the right end.
Cut a 2” square of dark pink cardstock and tape it white side down over one flower in the stencil. Dry emboss the single blossom, then remove and sand it. Trim it to 1 5/8” square and mat it on blue. Wrap a 2” length of rickrack along the left side and glue the ends at the back. Knot a 2” piece of the rickrack and glue it as shown. Glue the lily to the inside back as shown.
