For the card front: Turn the card with the fold on the left and cut 1½” off the front right edge. Cut a piece of the brown border paper to fit the front and ink the edges. Glue it in place.
For the leaves: Punch/emboss four of each leaf from the plain green textured paper and from the green leaf background paper (for a total of 8 leaves). Punch some with the veins embossed from the front and some embossed from the back.
Temporarily glue the leaves to the black/tan cardstock and cut out a mat around each. Remove the leaves and sand the black side of the leaf mats. Scuff the black ink pad across all the green leaves to make the veins show. Glue the leaves back onto their mats. Glue four leaves over the border on the card front, arranging them as shown.
Punch out the blue tag die cut and add a copper leaf brad to it. Print “Happy Father’s Day” in black on brown texture and cut the words apart. Ink the words, then glue them to the tag as shown. Add foam tape to the back of the tag and adhere it beside the leaves as shown.
For the inside: Cut a 2½” x 6½” piece of the green plaid paper and ink the edges. Cut a ½” x 6½” piece of the cardstock and sand the black side. Glue it along the left long edge of the plaid as a mat. Trim the Father border off the overlay and to 1¾” wide. Attach it to the plaid, aligning the side edges and positioning the words as shown. Secure with two copper leaf brads. Glue the plaid piece to the inside back along the right edge.
Print the sentiment in black on the brown texture. Cut it to 2 ¾” x 2 ¼” and ink the edges. Mat it on cardstock and sand the edges. Glue the sentiment and two leaves to the inside back as shown.
For the envelope: Cut a 2¼” x 5¼” piece of the striped border piece, positioning the border along the left edge. Ink the edges, then glue it to the left end of the envelope front. Cut a ¼” x 5¼” piece of brown texture and ink the edges. Glue it along the right side of the stripes. Glue two leaves as shown. Punch out the green patchwork tag, write the recipient’s name, and glue it tucked slightly under the leaves. (Note: if this card is being mailed, leave off the tag on the envelope and be sure to glue all the edges securely.
