Cupcake Birthday Card
For the card front: Turn the card with the fold on the left and cover the front with Nostalgia blue tiles paper. Ink the edges. Cut a 6½" long double row of Nostalgia flowered tiles paper. Cut along the edges of the tiles on the right side, then ink the edges. Cut a ¾"x6½" Nostalgia stripes paper, ink the edges, and glue along the left side of the tiles strip. Tie two 4" lengths of 1/8" wide blue grosgrain ribbon around a 7½" brown stitched ribbon, positioned near one end. Glue the brown ribbon to the tiles strip, leaving the lower half unglued and securing the ends on the back. Glue the strip to the card as shown.
Cut a 5"x1¼" Nostalgia brown tiles paper and ink the edges. Mat the long edges on Nostalgia coral tiles with 1/16" borders. Ink the edges and glue across the card, tucking the left end under the ribbon. Glue the ribbon in place. Stamp the cupcake and the cherry on the left end of the blue label. Stamp the cupcake top on Nostalgia yellow dotted paper, cut out, and glue over the label cupcake. Stamp the cherry on Nostalgia coral tiles, cut out and foam tape over the label cherry. Stamp and cut a leaf from Nostalgia blue tiles, then glue to the coral cherry.
Stamp “celebrate” on Nostalgia coral tiles paper and cut to 1"x 3/8". Ink the edges and mat on Nostalgia brown tiles paper with 1/16" borders. Mat on Nostalgia yellow dotted paper with 1/32" borders, ink the edges, and foam tape to the card as shown.
For the inside: Cut Nostalgia brown tiles to cover the inside, ink the edges, and glue. Cut a 4½"x5¼" Nostalgia blue tiles paper and ink the edges. Glue a brown label vertically near the right edge. Stamp the cupcake as shown, then stamp the top, candle, and flame on Nostalgia papers and paper-piece them on the label as shown. Create another tiles/stripes border as for the front and glue near the left edge. Knot a blue ribbon around a 5½" brown ribbon and glue across the tiles piece as shown. Glue the constructed sentiment to the inside. Stamp, trim, and mat “celebrate” on Nostalgia papers as for the front. Glue to the label as shown.
