Hearts & Flowers Valentine
For the card front: Turn the card with the fold on the left. Cut a 4¾"x6¼" Pretty & Playful blue plaid paper. Trace and cut on the lines for C2 and C3 hearts to create an open heart from Pretty & Playful pink checks paper. Mat inner and outer edges on white paper with 1/16" borders. Glue to the plaid center, angled left. Glue pink dot ribbon across the plaid paper as shown and glue the ends on the back. Glue to the card.
Trace and cut the heart pocket from Pretty & Playful striped paper. Line the pocket with the same paper. Secure the pocket flaps with the brad and glue to the card as shown. Copy and size the greeting to 1 7/8" wide. Print on white paper, then punch into a 2¼" heart. Mat on a 2¾" heart punched from Pretty & Playful blue paper. Punch a 1/8" hole in the top and attach 1/8" wide glue grosgrain ribbon. Place a Dazzles™ over the ribbon as shown and tuck the heart into the pocket. Knot a 3" pink dotted ribbon and glue just left of the pocket.
Punch out the border die cuts, then cut #1 in two pieces, cutting along the edges of the second and third flowers. Assemble the left end in the upper left corner and the right end in the lower right corner with foam squares between the layers. Punch out #3 from the pink-numbered flower die cuts and attach to the heart with foam squares. Place Dazzles™ butterflies and jewels as shown.
For the inside: Cut a 4¾"x6¼" Pretty & Playful light pink paper and glue to the inside. Trace and cut on the lines for S1 and S2 hearts to create an open heart from Pretty & Playful pink checks paper. Glue to the inside as shown. Copy and size the sentiment to 2½" wide. Computer journal “Happy Valentine's Day” below the sentiment, then print on white paper. Cut to 2½"x2 5/8". Mat on Pretty & Playful blue paper with 1/16" borders, then glue on the heart as shown. Punch out the remaining pink-numbered flower die cuts. Assemble and glue to the lower left, then place Dazzles butterflies, flowers and jewels as shown.
