Star Birthday Horizontal Tri-Fold Card
For the card front: With the fold at the bottom, bring the upper front edge down to the bottom and crease. Cover the front flap with Time For Fun blue checks paper, placing the gears at the bottom. Trace and cut exaggerated star 1 from Time For Fun orange checks paper and ink the edges. Turn the template over and trace and cut exaggerated star 2 from Time For Fun green checks paper. Ink the edges, then mat each star on cardstock with 1/16" borders.
Glue the green star overlapping the orange star, then glue brown gingham ribbon across both, gluing the ends on the back. Glue the stars to the front flap as shown. Copy and size the greeting to 2 1/8" wide. Print on Time For Fun blue checks paper, trim, and ink the edges. Mat on cardstock with 1/32" borders, then glue to the stars.
Trace and cut an exaggerated star 3 from Time For Fun brown writing paper and one from blue checks paper. Ink the edges and glue to the greeting as shown. Knot two 2" lengths of 1/8" wide blue grosgrain ribbon and glue one to each small star. Fold a 4" gingham ribbon in half and knot. Glue as shown.
