Valentine Treat Dispenser
For the dispenser base: Trace and cut the dispenser pattern from pink cardstock. Score the dashed lines, then crease all the scores in valley folds. Cut the slits in the upper side corners. Fold the lower front up and the sides in to create the box shape. Glue the bottom and front flaps to the sides on the inner bottom and front edges.
For the dispenser inside: Trace and cut the inside paper pattern from Kindred Spirits brown floral paper and glue centered on the inner back panel. Tape the stencil to white cardstock and use the applicator with dark pink to chalk the heart design. Remove the stencil, then tape it to a second cardstock and repeat the heart design, using dark gray. Chalk the edges of the larger sections in the design with dark pink. Remove the stencil. Chalk “love” on white cardstock with lavender and pink chalks.
Cut out each heart and mat on pink cardstock with 1/16" borders. Cut the “love” to 3¼"x2", then mat on pink cardstock with 1/16" borders. Glue the pink heart to the inner back as shown, slipping it down into the slit in the left corner. Glue the gray heart to the outer back, angled as shown. Glue the “love” to the inner back as shown, slipping it into the slit on the right side.
Cut the pink/brown ribbon in half, then tie a knot in each. Trim the ends and glue a knot to each heart at the center top. Glue the heart button to the “love” in the upper right corner. Tie a thread bow and glue to the button.
For the outside: Trace and cut the front panel paper from Kindred Spirits pink floral paper. Cut the side panel paper pattern from Kindred Spirits striped paper, then turn the pattern over and cut another side panel from the striped paper. Glue all the papers to the panels.
Make a 4-loop bow with the white sheer ribbon and tie the center with thread. Wrap the remaining white ribbon around the box and glue the ends at the left front corner near the upper edge. Glue the bow over the ribbon ends, then glue the flower button to the bow center. Tie a thread bow and glue to the button. Fill the dispenser with candy and give as a gift (or keep for yourself!).
