Birthday Matchbook Card
For the matchbook front & back: Cut 4 7/8"x4¼" Floral Fantasy floral paper and round the lower corners to fit the upper front flap. Glue centered on the flap. Cut 4 7/8"x 7/8" Floral Fantasy striped paper and round the upper corners to fit the lower front flap. Glue in place.
Punch out the label paper tole die-cuts and stamp “birthday wishes” on piece # Assemble the die-cuts following the package directions, placing foam tape between the layers. Foam tape the design centered on the upper front flap.
Cut a 7/8" butterfly from the Foiled Fancies sheet and place on the craft sheet. Press the Perfect Medium pad over the butterfly to completely cover it with ink. Use a paintbrush to dust Blue Raspberry Perfect Pearls over the butterfly. Tap off the excess, then spritz lightly with water to secure the pearls.
Bend the butterfly’s wings upward, then use tape to secure the butterfly to the frame at the upper left. Place pearls as shown. Cut 4 7/8"x4 7/8" Floral Fantasy gold/black tapestry paper and glue centered on the matchbook back.
For the inside: Open the front flaps and the inside flaps. Cut 4 7/8"x4 7/8" Floral Fantasy blue tapestry paper and glue centered on the inside. Cut a 1/8" wide strip off one long edge of the paper tole background. Cut into two 4 7/8" long strips and glue both to the paper as shown.
Cut two 7/8" butterflies off the Foiled Fancies sheet and repeat step 3 to color, again using Blue Raspberry. Glue to the blue tapestry paper as shown.
With the flaps open, place tape on the lower and outer edges of the left flap. Remove the tape backing and fold the flap in to create a pocket. Fold the right flap inward. Trace and cut the paper patterns from Floral Fantasy gray tapestry paper with the blue design at the bottom. Glue centered on the flaps.
Stamp the 3 5/8"x1 5/8" label on Floral Fantasy yellow marble paper and “just for you” in the center. Cut out the label, then mat it on cardstock with 1/16" borders. Glue the label’s right half to the right flap so the label is centered when the flap is closed.
Cut a 2 7/8" butterfly from the Foiled Fancies sheet and repeat step 3 to color it, using Sour Apple for the upper half and Pink Gumball for the lower half. Punch out an extra art butterfly. Attach both butterflies with tape and place pearls as shown. Insert the gift card in the pocket, close the front flaps, and insert the tab in the slit near the bottom.
