Furry Friends Pull-Up Card
For the pocket & front: Rub the pocket inside surfaces with the dryer sheet. Follow the directions in the packaging for scoring, folding, and gluing the pocket section. Cut 4 7/8"x3 3/8" Hopscotch striped paper and place Dazzles™ borders across it as shown, trimming the ends even with the paper. Glue the paper centered on the pocket front.
Trace and cut the front flap paper pattern from Hopscotch green dotted paper. Cut 4 7/8"x½" Hopscotch striped paper and glue to the green paper, 1/8" from the top. Place a Dazzles™ border along each edge of the strip, trim the ends, then glue the green paper centered on the flap front.
Cut 3¼"x2¾" white cardstock and stamp the doghouse image on it. When completely dry, color the image with the pens. For her cheeks, color the skin tone first, then, while the ink is still wet, color the cheeks with a very light pink marker, blending the colors together. For the background, use the lightest gray marker and color around the lower edges of the image.
Mat the colored image on green cardstock with 1/16" borders, then on yellow cardstock with 1/8" borders. Mat again on green cardstock with 1/32" borders. Glue to the flap 7/8" from the card top edge, gluing just the upper back in place.
For the insert: Crease the score line in a mountain fold. Cut 3¾"x3" Hopscotch orange paper and glue to the lower section of the flap, 1/16" from the fold. Cut 1 7/8"x2¾" white cardstock and stamp the dog/bowl image and the sentiment on it as shown. Color the image and background as for the front, then mat on yellow cardstock with 1/16" borders.
Glue the colored image to the insert, ½" from the fold. Cut two 3¾" and one 3 3/8" Dazzles™ borders and place as shown, pressing firmly so they’ll slip in and out of the pocket. Rub the insert front and back with the dryer sheet. Place Ultra tape along the long edges of the insert flap. Place the flap with the cut edge against the pocket fold, then fold the front flap down over the insert to secure the flaps together. Open the front flap and carefully tuck the insert inside the pocket.
