Hummingbird Step Box Card
For the card: Trace and cut the card base pattern from black cardstock, then turn the pattern over and trace and cut it again from black cardstock. Score on the dashed lines and cut on the solid lines. Crease all the scores on each piece in mountain folds.
Overlap the long scored sections and glue together to create the card bottom. Bring the sides up and overlap the uppermost 2"x2" panels, then glue. Overlap and glue the middle and lower 2"x2" panels to create the step box card. Turn the card with the tallest edge on the left.
For the front: Trace and cut the paper pattern from Wildflowers purple/black diamonds paper. Cut ½"x5 1/8" Wildflowers brown pindot paper and mat the long edges on purple cardstock with 1/16" borders. Place a Dazzles™ border near the lower edge, trimming the ends. Glue the border to the paper, 1/8" from the bottom.
Place the hummingbird and flower Dazzles™ on the paper as shown and “what a joyous day” in the lower right corner. Color the hummingbird with the purple Wink of Stella marker and let dry. Glue the paper centered on the front.
For the back: Turn the paper pattern over, then trace and cut it from Wildflowers purple/black diamonds paper. Create another pindot border as for the front. Cut a 1/8" strip off one long edge of the Dazzles™ background and place on the border near the lower edge. Trim the excess and glue the border to the paper, 1/8" from the bottom.
Place the Dazzles™ hummingbirds and sentiment on the paper as shown. Color the birds with the purple Wink of Stella marker and let dry. Glue the paper centered on the back.
For the steps: Cut three 1 5/8"x1 5/8" Wildflowers striped papers, then glue the squares to the step tops. Place two 7/8" and two 5/8" Dazzles™ flowers on Wildflowers lavender paper and cut along the edges. Glue and foam tape two flowers each to the bottom steps. Place small Dazzles™ flowers near the paper flowers as shown.
Place a Dazzles™ flourish on the center step, then place rhinestones on all three steps as shown. Flatten the card to place in an envelope.
