Pop-Out Swing-Fold Rain & Sun Card
For the card: Trace and cut the card base pattern from navy cardstock. Score on the dashed lines and cut on the solid lines. Crease the two inner scores in mountain folds and the two outer scores in valley folds. To close the card, allow the second score from the left to flatten.
For the front: Cut 2 3/8"x6 3/8" Artful Watercolors blue/green watercolor paper. Cut 2 3/8"x1¼" Artful Watercolors striped paper and mat the long edges on navy cardstock with 1/16" borders. Glue to the first paper, ¼" from the bottom, then glue the paper centered on the front.
Place the Dazzles™ girl and clouds on white cardstock. Use the pencils to color them as shown. Dip a paper stump in the blending solution, then rub it over one color until the marks are blended together. Repeat for each color, cleaning the stump between colors to prevent transferring colors by sanding the point.
Cut along the edges of the colored Dazzles™ images. Glue the cloud/sun Dazzles™ on the upper front and foam tape the second cloud above it as shown. Foam tape the girl to the front, ½" from the bottom. Place the Dazzles™ raindrops as shown.
For the inside: Trace and cut the inside left and right panel paper patterns from Artful Watercolors striped paper. Glue the papers centered on the panels. Cut 5/8"x6 3/8" Artful Watercolors striped paper and glue to the narrow center panel.
Cut 3 1/8"x2 3/8" Artful Watercolors tan paper and glue centered on the rectangular swinging panel. Place Dazzles™ “when the rain…” sentiment near the right edge with a heart above and below it. Place the sun and umbrella Dazzles™ on white cardstock, color as for the front, and cut out. Glue as shown.
