You Make My World Go Round Card
Cutting the card panels: Cut six 5”x6” white cardstock papers. Cover one side of each with Happy Days red dot paper. Use the largest cutting die to die cut each piece, keeping the red dot side against the cutting die. Cut a 5”x6” piece of Happy Days paper in each of these colors: red dot, stained glass, orange print, blue arches, yellow print, and green circles. Cut six ovals from white cardstock using the third largest cutting die. It will only perforate the oval, but you can then cut around the perforations.
Stamp each of the carousel animals on white cardstock. Stamp the “You Make My World Go Round&rdquo,; and the “Sending Smiles” sentiments on the white cardstock. Color with various Spectrum Noir™ pens. Place Heart Dazzles&trade,; as shown, on the horse, rabbit, and the sentiment. Cut close to the animal stamp edges. Die cut the “You Make…” with the scallop cutting die, and the “Sending Smiles” sentiment with the smallest oval cutting die. (It will just perforate the paper, and you can follow the perforations to cut it out.) Cut one red dot heart, with the smallest cutting die. Foam tape to the “Sending Smiles” oval. Set aside.
Glue the die-cut red dot paper over one of the die cut panels, matching all of the edges. Use the Ultra Clear tape to attach the tab of this panel to the next one. Tape it to the top straight edge of any next panel. Now glue the die-cut stained glass paper over the tab, matching the edges, and sandwiching the tab in the middle, so it is not seen. Glue the paper to the rest of this panel. Use Ultra Clear tape again on this tab, and attach it to another panel. Glue the orange die-cut paper over, matching all of the edges. Continue in this manner, attaching the tabs with tape, and covering with the die-cut papers in this order: red dot, stained glass, orange print, blue arches, yellow print, green circles. Once you have the back constructed, you can decorate the ovals before we attach them.
Foam tape a white oval to the middle of each differently-colored oval (not the red dot backs). Tie a coordinating ribbon to the top of each animal’s pole, and then glue an animal to each white oval. Foam tape the “You Make My World…” oval above the first animal, on the first oval. Foam tape the “Sending Smiles” oval on the bottom right corner of the last panel. Place a Jewel Border Dazzles™ along the edge of each panel as shown. .
Connecting the ovals: Use Ultra Clear tape on the front of the first tab. Connect it to the back of the next oval. Mountain fold these two ovals. Ultra Clear tape the tab to the front of the second oval. Connect it to the back of the next oval. Valley fold these two panels. Continue to connect the tabs to the back of the next oval, using the Ultra Clear tape, alternating the folds.
