For the card front: Place the blank card with the fold on the left. Cut 4½"x6" Blue Persuasion corner design paper with the design at the lower left. Mat it on Blue Persuasion medium blue cardstock with 1/8" borders. Wrap a dark blue crepe ribbon across the paper, ¾" from the bottom and glue the ends to the back. Glue the paper centered on the card front.
Cut out the Blue Persuasion “just for you” label and use a dauber to lightly ink the edges. Glue it to 1¾"x1¼" dark blue cardstock, then mat it on light blue cardstock with 1/16" borders. Foam tape it to the front at the upper right.
Tie a 4" dark blue crepe ribbon onto the first ribbon, 1½" from the left card edge, and trim the ends. Use a dauber to lightly ink the petal edges of a 1¼" and two ¾" posies. Glue the posies and two leaves next to the ribbon knot.
For the inside: Die cut a side step card from Blue Persuasion navy cardstock with the navy side up. Turn it so the white side is outward when you crease the scores. Trim ¼" off both the lower front and lower back edges.
On the back of the die cut card, place 2-sided tape along the outer edges of the two large outer panels. Center it inside the card with the step section near the bottom and the center fold against the outer card’s center fold. Remove the tape backing on the right side and press the die cut card in place. Remove the tape backing on the remaining panel, then close the card and press.
Open the card. Cut a strip of the Blue Persuasion tiles to 5 7/8" long and glue it to the inside left panel as shown. Cut 4½"x2 5/8" Blue Persuasion dark blue rose border paper and glue it centered on the right above the steps.
Cut 1¾"x2¾" Blue Persuasion flowered swirl paper and 1¼"x2¾" tapestry paper and glue them centered on the appropriate step panel fronts. Punch out the Blue Persuasion oval and “happy birthday” banner die-cuts. Mat the banner on white cardstock with 1/16" borders, then glue both to the first step panel as shown.
Cut out the Blue Persuasion “let’s celebrate you” label and mat it on light blue cardstock with 1/8" borders, then glue it to the second step panel as shown. Cut out the “have a happy day” label, mat it on white cardstock with 1/16" borders, and glue it as shown.
