Default Pens and Markers organization

Another storage/organization question!

Pens: how do you store them? organize them so the colours can be seen quickly?

Copics: should they be stored horizontally or vertically?

I have quite a number of Creative Memories pens still that need to be stored horizontally.

Thanks again
Heather

I was always told to store markers horizontally, that is how I store my other brand markers. The one even comes in a case that stores them that way. I really don't have any suggestion for good organization. My markers are in a plastic shoe box, laying on their side, the SN markers are rubber banded together according to color family and they all sit on a shelf in my closet. Not the best for easy access. That is probably why they don't get used all the much unless I decide that that is what is needed for the project.

I have a (fake) wood thing that has small sections for markers so they can be stored on their sides...I keep all my Distress Markers in a plastic case on their sides; it is within reach as I use them a lot. Have my fav markers in this case that I leave on my table laying sideways so the markers are too...I love this as can just grab it when we are going somewhere and I am taking crafting stuff with me.

I use that large SN plastic storage unit. I stick lots of my markers in there too. I know you aren't supposed to but I keep my everyday markers up right in a carousel on my desk for convenience. I used to keep my colored pencils in there to but recently put them in a plastic bin to make room for tools. I like to keep everything I use a lot in reach. I need a bigger room !

Still have not found anything to store my pens yet, but did discover that this little unit holds Silhouette Sketch pens perfectly! Need to order another, hope I can find them still.

I ordered and received today the box of Crafters Companions pen storage, 6 trays hold 72 pens.... I really like them! Fit well on my desk and can be assembled so unit slants towards the back. Perfect! I love it when manufacturers do something well. And gets me more organized, so easy to see the colors now.

I've looked at that organizer a couple of times and am really wanting it but..just can't figure out where I'd put it. No room on the shelves and not much space on my table. But looks like it would be so easy to use.

It needs 9.5 inches on a shelf within reach! You would like it I'm sure.

I have the same problem with space too Sam. I use the same case you do. And it makes it easy to just throw t hem in my bag when I go to a crop. I do have one other case that holds I believe 72 markers that zips up but the elastic bands that hold the markers are a bit of a tight fit. I think I migh change this one over to hold my watercolor pencils...I think I got that one from Consumer Crafts.
